HostBrr DirectAdmin Storage Boxes: The Perfect Image Hosting Powerhouse
With Black Friday around the corner, my old friend has rolled out a new storage plan. This time they added a DirectAdmin-based plan. It’s essentially shared hosting with a large amount of disk space at a very attractive price. Under the hood it’s still running on Hetzner’s SX295 servers with a RAID 6 array. This is my first time using it, and after a bit of tinkering today, I found it’s incredibly convenient for setting up an image hosting site.

How to Set Up a Chevereto Image Host
It’s actually very simple—I initially overcomplicated it.
Once your order is completed and activated, you’ll receive an activation email. It looks roughly like the one below, and all you need to do is log in.
Next, change the language here and add your domain — it should match the domain you entered when purchasing, assuming you didn’t just type something random.
Then go to the Subdomain Management page and add the subdomain you want to use for the image host. Of course, you can also use the apex domain if you prefer.
At the same time, you need to configure DNS records at your domain registrar/DNS provider. If you’re using Cloudflare, disable the orange cloud (proxy) first, and only turn it back on after deployment is successful.
Once the above prerequisites are in place, you can head to the application marketplace for a one‑click install.
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the list and find ClipBucket, then click into it.
A new page will open, listing many PHP-based projects you can install as needed.
Here I choose to install Chevereto. Click install, select the domain where you want to deploy it, and set the default admin username and password. Wait a bit and the installation will complete.
In testing, I was able to upgrade directly from 4.1.4 to the latest 4.2.3 version, as long as you are a licensed user with an activation key. If you’re using something else, you can search online for a cracked installer package and create the site from that. Here I’m only demonstrating installation for paying customers.
