Zouter.io VPS Benchmark: New Product Line from Wuyu Cloud
The VPS in this benchmark is sponsored by Wuyu Cloud. Zouter.io is Wuyu Cloud’s upcoming overseas site that requires no KYC and aims to provide neutral services, and they’re currently looking for beta testers. I was lucky enough to get in. Zouter uses basically the same in-house control panel as the Wuyu Cloud mainland site, also self-developed. In terms of usability and UX, it’s miles ahead of WHMCS. As far as I know, there are three product lines under HK BGP Global: Performance (9950X), Storage (RAID10 storage), and Standard (AMD EPYC 7763). They offer disk backups and snapshot restore, plus 10 Gbps protection — better than nothing, at least.
Plans
| Plan | Specs | Extra Notes |
|---|---|---|
| HK BGP Global - Standard | 1 vCore / 1G RAM / 15G SSD / 1000Mbps@2TB | CPU: AMD EPYC 7763 |
| HK BGP Global - Storage | 1 vCore / 1G RAM / 15G SSD / 1000Mbps@2TB | Storage: 1TB RAID10 HDD |
| HK BGP Global - Performance | 1 vCore / 1G RAM / 15G SSD / 1000Mbps@2TB | CPU: Ryzen R9-9950X |
Benchmarks
The node is clearly IO-limited, and from my perspective the current 9950X performance is on the weak side. Geekbench 5 is only around 2000.

Updated QA Info
Q1: What is the DDoS protection threshold? What happens if it’s exceeded?
A1: The current protection threshold is 10 Gbps. Once exceeded, the IP will be blackholed for 30 minutes.
Q2: Is there an IO limit on the VPS? Can it be removed?
A2: IO limits are based on our internal benchmarks and are intended to ensure fair scheduling.
Q3: How is the performance of the 9950X? Why do the scores look low?
A3: The 9950X scores about 2900 in Geekbench 6 single-core. The virtualization overhead is within a normal range.
Q4: How is support and response time on the new site?
A4: The new site offers the same level of support and response as the main Wuyu Cloud site. Our support team typically replies to tickets within 5 minutes on average.
Q5: What happens when the data transfer quota is exhausted?
A5: Currently the port is shut off but the instance stays running. In the future we plan to switch to bandwidth throttling; this is still under technical evaluation.
Q6: Will disk backup and snapshot restore be a paid add-on later, or will there be one free copy?
A6: We plan to continue providing 2 copies for free. Except for large-disk instances, all our standard instances support self-service backup tasks in the “Backup & Snapshot” section of the control panel. Backup copies are stored in full in an independent backup environment.
Q7: What is your stance on DMCA? Many Hong Kong large-storage providers advertise that they ignore DMCA.
A7: DMCA is not local Hong Kong law, but complaints filed through local channels can still have an impact. For general complaints we will usually take a relatively lenient stance; how we handle it depends on the specifics. In the end everyone is just betting that nothing exceptional happens.
Q8: What is your storage setup?
A8: All storage uses RAID arrays with hot spare disks. If an array becomes degraded, the online hot spare will automatically replace the failed disk to keep the array in a healthy state.
